I keep telling myself I'm going to stop posting about vegan burgers in my next blog post, but in a press release today, the inevitable has happened:

So is it vegan?
Well...is anything at McDonalds really vegan? That's a question we won't touch here, but as far as we can tell, this is a similar scenario as the Impossible Whopper which includes dairy based condiments and is cooked on the same surface as their meat by default. Burger King provides the option to bake the burger instead but this defeats the purpose of partaking in BK's famous "flame broiled" cooking method. Also I tried the baked and dairy condiment free version of the IW and it was not worth coming back for.
It's not clear from the press release if McDonalds plans to offer vegan friendly cooking methods.
